Pair Venetian Painted and Parcel-gilt Blackamoor Figures on Bases, early 20th century, each figure holding aloft a shelf, also holding a gondola paddle and standing on a gondola end, decorated with floral scrolls on gilt and ebonized ground, on a two-part stepped square pedestal base, ht. 64 in. Both paddles with losses at ends and middle; figures with scattered minor losses, rubbing and some minor (not major) areas of inpainting and touch-ups; moderately heavy rubbing to circular socles; scratching to stepped bases; age typical additional minor imperfections and defects.
