Japanese Baluster-form Enameled Vase, late 19th/early 20th century, the neck hand-painted with marsh grasses, over an ombre red ground relief decorated with cranes amongst tall grasses, ht. 20 in. Scattered loss to clear surface glaze, the largest area 1 3/4 in. long in mid-section of vase; scattered cracks to red enamel ground, particularly around cranes, and to cranes themselves.
