Hartley(American, 19th c.) - Oil on canvas portrait of the "Fairmount" pumper with maker's name banner inscribed "John Agn__(Agnew) Philadelphia", above 2 facing swans, all on a red and black painted body and wheels with yellow pinstriping, flanked by a firefighter with 2 brass fire trumpets and another firefighter wearing a red Fairmount parade hat and a red cape with the initials "F.A.", 17" x 24". Provenance - Southampton Historical Museum, Thomas Halsey House; Ex - Henry Francis du Pont.
