Julius Karl Rose, also called Antonio (Julius) Rose (German, 1828-1911) Fisherboats near Ragusa, Dalmatia Signed "Rose" l. l., also initialed or inscribed "A R" on a boat in l.r. quadrant, identified on a label affixed to the reverse and titled on a label affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 12 1/2 x 15 3/4 in. (31.8 x 40.0 cm), framed. Condition: Minor surface grime.
