George III Apple-form Fruitwood Tea Caddy, late 18th/early 19th century, realistically shaped, with small oval metal escutcheon, traces of red staining to exterior, interior with foil lining, ht. 4 in. stem replaced, and in need of reattching. overall age typical surface wear. Filled V-shaped chip to back at hinge. small chips to edge of lid at back side. foil essentially gone from inside of lid, and worn to interior of body. base of body with traces of red stain.
