Russian Compositional Icon, 19th century, depicting the Tikhvin Mother of God attended by Peter, Metropolitan of Moscow, Alexi, Metropolitan of Moscow, St. Christopher the Dog-headed, St. John the Warrior, and others, with mustard yellow borders, 12 1/2 x 10 1/2 in. Three repaired and in-painted cracks to top and bottom edge. No apparent worm/insect hole damage; scattered pinpoint in-painting throughout borders with some in-painting in interior scenes.
