Wedgwood Dark Blue Jasper Dip Covered Vase on Stand, England, 19th century, applied white relief, the cover with foliage; the vase with classical figures with fruiting grapevine and gadroon borders; the stand with ram's heads and griffins to the corners of paneled sides with classical figures, a floral border along the foot, impressed mark, overall ht. 20 in. The vase is a marriage to the stand. Cover: two very slight rim nicks/flakes. Vase: In very good condition throughout. Stand: One ram's head restored (restoration discolored); three of the wings of the griffin with firing lines; one wing with break and slight separation from body (though never off of the piece and still quite secure); slight piece of relief loss along top border.
