Pair of Yoke-back Chairs, China, 17th/18th century, Huang Hua Li, ju-i carved back splats, rush seats, lacquered undersides, (old repairs), ht. 31, seat ht. 18 1/2, wd. 25, dp. 18 in. Wood split where the stretcher joins the right front leg of one chair, and on the right back foot of the same chair. The left side of the front stretcher comes loose from the leg of the other chair. Minor break and repair to an arm rail. Both chairs were slightly trimmed to the feet.
