Galle Art Nouveau Fruitwood Marquetry-inlaid Vanity Table, c. 1900, signed to front right corner, shaped top with outset rounded and scalloped corners with open handles to each side and inlaid with pussy willow and other foliage, mirrored interior with open compartments, open trestle support with serpentine legs and stretcher, ht. 29 1/2, wd. 28 1/2, dp. 19 3/4 in. Provenance: Collection of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, sold Sotheby's, New York, June 23, 1984, lot 337, illustrated. Two small veneer chips to right top edge at end of scrolls; minor spotting to top and light scratching; age typical minor defects and usage wear.
