Two Viennese Cold Painted Bronze Figural Groups of Animals and Black Children, c. 1920, the first depicting a boy on a hippopotamus, the seated figure wearing red and white striped shorts and with his elbows on his knees, lg. 2 1/8; the second a boy being bitten the buttocks by an alligator, lg. 3 1/4 in. Boy and Alligator: minor paint losses to shorts, hand possibly bent back and fairly heavy rubbing to paint on alligator. Boy and Hippo: minor rubbing, else excellent.
