Two Schafer Vater Bisque Porcelain Novelty Figurines, Germany, early 20th century, unmarked, comprising the figure of a seated black man in fancy suit and top hat, feeding a baby crocodile with a bottle, ht. 4 1/2, and a figure of four caricatures of black children seated on a sofa, one wearing a top hat and playing a violin, the other three peering a sheet music, ht. 4 3/8, lg. 6 1/4 in. children: very minor rubbing to paint. man: possible restoration, or simply mold roughness, to tip of man's nose. impressed 4540.
