Captain John Green mahogany pie crust tea table, last quarter of the 18th c. , with a carved top, birdcage support, baluster standard, and cabriole legs terminating in ball and claw feet, retains an early mellow finish, 28 3/4" h., 33 1/4" dia.. This table, probably made near Captain Green's home on the banks of the Neshaminy Creek, Newportsville, Bucks County, reflects the sophistication of Philadelphia masterpieces.
