English, Circa 1815- 1820. English rosewood Regency style sarcophagus form tea caddy with hinged lid that lifts to reveal dual removable hinged lid rosewood compartments on the interior flanking a cut crystal mixing bowl, with brass lion head ring handles on either end, set atop rosewood bun feet, with inlaid bone keyhole. Original key is missing. 7.25" x 12" x 6.25". Provenance: Purchased from R.G. Cave & Sons (Antiques) LTD, 17 Broad Street, Ludlow, Shropshire. 6/20/89 (Receipt available upon request).
