Figural Engraved Whale's Tooth, mid-19th century, the obverse showing a fashionably dressed woman and her two daughters in matching attire, the mother seated at a table turning a page of her book, with a butterfly above, the obverse depicting a lady and a gentleman, both sides heightened with red and blue, (hairline crack), ht. 5 5/8 in. Very unobtrusive 3 in. hairline on mother /daughters side.
