Two Silver Creamers, America, late 18th/early 19th century, one by Saunders Pitman (1732-1804), Providence, Rhode island, with helmet-shaped body with high pouring spout and looped handle, raised on a trumpet-shape pedestal on square plinth, with engraved monogram in a shield with wheelwork and bright-cut engraving; the second by John Sayre (1771-1852), New York and New Jersey, with octagonal helmet form with high pouring spout and loop handle, monogrammed in an oval with engraved crossed grain stalks, with wheelwork and bright cut borders, (split and repair at handle top), ht. 7 1/8, 8 1/8 in., respectively, approx. 14 troy oz. total.
