Attributed to Rosalba Carriera (Italian, 1675-1757) A Woman Offering a Garland of Flowers to Eros . Unsigned, identified on labels affixed to the backing. Pastel on paper, sight size 37 x 28 in., framed. Condition: Minor abrasions and pigment displacement, small areas of possible mold growth and/or retouch, not examined out of frame. Provenance: Property of the Fogg Art Museum, Harvard Art Museum, sold to benefit the acquisition fund. Subtle rippling to sheet, several restored abrasions/scratches with the most extensive being a vertical arc-shaped scratch spanning the u.l. and l.l. quadrants approx. 20 in. length, not examined out of frame due to the fragile nature of the medium.
