Antique 14kt Gold and Enamel Stickpin, W. B. Ford, England, depicting a basset hound within a bead and wirework frame, dia. 7/8 in., signed and dated 1872. Note: William Bishop Ford (1832-1922), a London-born artist, was a pupil of William Essex and exhibited at the Royal Academy. While he worked for Minton and KPMG, he also painted royal portraits in miniature, including Prince Albert and Edward VII. His work is exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Slight scratches to the paint, one on top of head, not obtrusive
