Art Nouveau 14kt Gold Lorgnette, depicting a male visage emerging from a cascade of flowering fronds with exotic bird and serpent motifs, 23. 2 dwt, American maker's mark. Maltese cross motif maker's mark . Lg. 5 in., at its widest 1 3/16. Overall very good. Light surface scratches and wear to extremities, but quite minor. Mechanism holds firmly in place and stays upright, but is very slightly loose from age.
