Set of Eight Charles II Style Carved Oak Dining Chairs, late 19th/early 20th century, comprising two arm and six side chairs, each with elaborately carved rectangular backrest composed of two putti about a central crown and within a foliate cartouche, barley sugar twist uprights and foliate carved frame, scrolled arms carved with leaf tips and twist-turned supports, with block and ring-turned legs joined by foliate carved and barley-twist stretchers, seat ht. 20, wd. 20, dp. 21 in. Minor usage wear, well carved, good color, good proportions, extremely sturdy.
