Louis XV/XVI Style Fruitwood and Ivory Marquetry-inlaid Marble-top Commode, late 19th/ early 20th century, attributed to Louis Soubrier, Paris, with white and grey flecked lilac marble top with breakfronted center and conforming case fitted with three short over two long drawers, on angular cabriole legs ending in chutes; inlaid to the front and sides with elaborate courting scenes, foliage and interiors, ht. 35, wd. 49, dp. 21 1/2 in. Overall very good to excellent condition; one veneer chip to top of one drawer (present); age typical very minor shrinkage and defects.
