French Baroque Walnut Refectory Table, third quarter 17th century, with rectangular top above three paneled frieze drawers with turned wood knobs on baluster turned legs joined by a box stretcher, ht. 32 1/2, wd. 111 3/8, dp. 29 3/4 in. Moderate to heavy worming throughout, top with loss to left end and exposed worm tunnels, the front edge with gouges and chipped carving, long shrinkage crack to right end of table and with losses to same edge, drawer pulls likely replaced, drawers with denting and minor losses, legs with minor losses, good color and excellent turnings, the box stretcher showing age typical normal wear; very honest and mostly complete table.
