Bayley, dial signed by George Prior, with English silver body and inner cases hallmarked London, 1791, maker's mark IT, with tortoiseshell and pique outer case, dial dia. 1 5/8 in. Edward Prior example: replaced stem. lacking glass. losses to pique inlay, with crack to shell of back cover approx. 1". silver cover with a small metal tear near hole for stem (approx. 1/8"). wear to engraving at cover. age typical wear. Bayley/Prior: overall age typical wear. shell case with losses to pique, and two cracks to back approx. 1/4" each.
