Ten Sterling and Silverplate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, five American sterling: C-scrolled border, plain ovoid with monogram, Aesthetic Movement scrollwork, Rococo Revival scrolls, roseheads, and shells, and an Art Nouveau with a nude maiden picking a lily; five silverplate: a cylinder with sliding lid latch engraved with male and female bacchantes, scrolled border, stamped with bust of a child with a sledgehammer within horseshoe, monkey form, and moose and clover decorated mounted with a snapshot, monograms, lg. to 3 in., approx. 4 troy oz. plated box with bust of child and monkey with loss to most of plating. dings to plain. minor age wear throughout, and minor spots of corrosion.
