Seven Sterling and Silverplate Matchsafes, late 19th/early 20th century, four sterling: a griffin amidst scrolls, acid etched cartouche on scrolls, Art Nouveau lady's bust amidst scrolls and water lilies, and scroll and flower border; three silver plate: Art Nouveau floral border, rowboat shaped, and cylindrical with roundels of Washington and Columbus, lg. to 2 5/8 in., approx. 4 troy oz. plated examples with plating worn away, with corrosion to Art Nouveau, and discoloration to Columbus/Wahington. sterling examples good, with minor age wear.
