American Sterling Water Pitcher, late 19th century, retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Co. , cylindrical neck with short spout, ovoid body, beaded rim and girdle, ear handle, monogrammed, underside engraved with presentation inscription dated 1897, ht. 7 1/4 in., approx. 17 troy oz. good, with a few very light dings to base of body, and minor usage wear. engraved "Presented to Joseph W. Stevens by Joseph H. Clark, Dec. 2, 1897."
