Silver Plate and Glass Mounted Center Bowl, late 19th century, Meriden Britannia Company, the egg-shaped body mounted with a standing figure of a classical maiden with a butterfly on her hand to one end, the other end with a cranberry and colorless cased glass trumpet vase, the vase within fretwork frame, on flaring reeded foot, flanked by laurel branches conjoined to the two tapering side legs, ht. 14, lg. 15 in. top of one side leg showing compression into side of body. age typical minor darkening to metal.
