Continental Silver Covered Serving Dish, likely Hanau, Germany, late 19th century, and with post 1893 French import marks, round, with partially fluted slightly domed lid with pinecone finial, body chased and embossed with roundels enclosing busts of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette topped by ribbons and laurel and conjoined by husk swags, lion head pendant loop handles, ht. 7 1/2, dia. to handles 9 1/2 in., approx. 36 troy oz. good, with very minor usage wear.
