Small Cased Victorian Silver Pitcher, London, 1863, makers' mark HL HL, the small ewer with ogee rim, short spout, acanthus loop handle, beaded waist band, on trumpet foot, later monogram, ht. 4 7/8 in., in fitted leathered case for retailer John J. Peters & Co., Bristol, approx. 3 troy oz. later monogram to front, and date June 12 1872 to underside of foot. repaired stem. edge of footrim with impressed number 297. minor age wear and a light ding.
