George I Silver Coffeepot, London, 1714, Edward Yorke, maker, lighthouse form, with fruitwood handle set at right angle to the paneled serpentine spout, ovoid finial, engraved with a rocaille crest with two small supporting devices, ht. 10 1/4 in., approx. 23 troy oz. maker's mark somewhat rubbed. fully marked to body, interior rim with maker's mark and erased leopard head. light dent at crest. minor surface scratching and nicks throughout. Handle possibly replaced.
