Pair of Irish George II Silver Two-Handled Cups, Dublin, 1748, Matthew West, maker, ovoid, each with cast acanthus-topped scroll handles, body with applied ribbed girdle, on spreading trumpet foot, engraved with crest mottoed "Halleluiah," and with floral wreath, ht. 5 1/4 in., approx. 28 troy oz. marks a little worn, but still legible. one cup with two, and one with one join of handle to body showing very slight compression on to body (visible only as slight halo to interior of cup). minor rim nicks. age/surface wear.
