William and Mary Pine and Maple Tavern Table, New England, mid-18th century, overhanging top with breadboard ends above a single drawer and a beaded skirt joining block, vase, and ring-turned legs continuing to turned feet and square stretchers, old refinish, ht. 26 1/2, wd. 43 1/2, dp. 24 in. Loss to inside of one side stretcher, about 5 1/2 x 3/4 in., refinished early to mid-20th century, the interior of dovetailed drawer painted red and has an old linen patch covering a knothole on the bottom of the drawer.
