Russian Hardstone, Rock Crystal, and Yellow Gold Model of Vase of Flowers, late 19th/early 20th century, formed as a small rock crystal vase, carved with a reeded ear handle with frosted finish, mounted with three gilt metal stems set with carved hardstone flowerheads, with silver wirework stamens ending in rose cut green stones, accented with two blades of grass, one likely nephrite jade, the other gold or goldtone, ht. approx. 6 3/4 in., (losses), in fitted A La Vieille Russie leathered case, and cardboard box. Provenance: A La Vieille Russie. significant losses to the flower petals, with hairlines and chipping. approx. two of the small rosecut green stones missing. one possibly with replaced central boss (two are cabochon stones, this one is gilt a round gilt boss). likely missing another jade blade of grass. unmarked. leathered box with some mold/mildew. mildew/molding to cardboard box.
