George III Mahogany Bureau Bookcase, last quarter 18th century, molded cornice above a pair of mullioned glass doors over a slant lid enclosing a fitted interior of small drawers, pigeonholes and leather writing surface; lower case with three short and three long drawers on shaped bracket feet, ht. 87, wd. 47, dp. 21 in. Likely a marriage of two old pieces; upper section very good; lower section with small missing pieces to fitted interior, lid with three areas of minor shrinkage; age typical minor defects; very good timber and color.
