Wedgwood Black Basalt Paint Box and Cover, England, early 19th century, molded oval body, the cover with foliate designs and a sunflower finial, the box with a wide palmette band centering borders of dots and a running vine, black basalt insert tray with ten white stoneware paint cups, impressed mark, lg. 6 in. 1" rim piece out and simply reglued; inner rim of the box with a slight flake; one pierced hole on tray with a slight edge chip. Missing to additional paint cups.
