Staffordshire Solid Agate Teapot and Cover, England, c. 1760, diamond shape with molded serpent-form handle, brown clays to a buff colored ground, ht. 5 1/2 in. Cover: finial restored at neck; slight chip to a corner. Pot: 1" firing line at shoulder; very slight hairline to top rim; footrim with three corners having sizable chips repaired (old and discolored); one side of the foot (about 2 1/2") has been broken off and simply reglued.
