Two large Suffolk wrought iron thumb latches, 18th c. with triangular and pointed terminals, one impressed "M.D. Bishop", the other is most likely by Bishop also, 18 1/2" h. and 20" h. Illustrated in Colonial Wrought Iron the Sorber Collection by Don Plummer, pg. 188, fig. 4-78.
