Victorian Mahogany Quarter-Chiming Bracket Clock Attributed to Elliott, London, c. 1920, with dome top, four cast finials, reeded columns flanking the brass dial door with acanthus leaves and beveled glass, side fretted sound vents, carrying handles and brass feet, 7 in. brass composite dial with Arabic numerals and "Chime-Silent" in the arch, eight-day spring powered movement with quarter chimes on gongs and brass pendulum, ht. 19 1/4 in. Provenance: Formerly in "The Elms", the Whitney Mansion in Waltham. Area of water damage on front of lower section of case, movement should be cleaned.
