Inclined Plane Clock by E. Gubelin, Lucerne, late 20th Century, the verigated green marble inclined plane with brass beading and engraved brass plaque with days of the week supports the 4 3/4 in. dia. brass drum with lever escapement clock work, engraved decoration, Roman numerals and marked E. Gubelin, Lucerne and Swiss as it slowly "rolls" down the plane keeping the dial in an upright position indicating the day of the week on the plaque and the time on the dial which remains upright throughout, all powered by its own weight and the pull of gravity, at the end of the week, the clock drum is placed back at the top of the plane, lg. 24, max. ht. 11 1/2 in. minor losses on marble base, front corner chipped on short end, in running condition
