Georgian Walnut Bracket Clock by John Pyke, London, c. 1765, with bell top and brass carrying handle, arched and glazed door with blind frets backed with fabric, circular and shaped side glass, glazed rear door, 7 in. brass dial with silvered chapter ring, name boss in the arch engraved John Pyke London , and recessed date ring, matted center and false pendulum, cast brass spandrels, eight-day time and strike fusee movement with rack and snail, verge escapement and fully engraved backplate, ht. with handle extended 19 in. Movement in excellent condition, case blind sound frets on front and rear door are quality replacements, possibly lacking feet.
