Brass Plotting Compass by Gilkerson & Mcall, London, c. 1825-30, a 6 in. dia. geared circle with thumbscrew vernier adjustment and calibrated on an inset silver scale 0-360 degrees, engraved on the rotating cross frame Gilkerson & McAll London , central glass aperture with crosshairs within a knurled ring, two hinged arms with steel pointers and a mahogany fitted box, 9 1/2 in. with arms extended. Brass and silver in old surface, no significant replacements.
