Brass Surveyor's Compass by Thomas Harland, Norwich, Connecticut, the 5 in. dia. dial with maker's boss signed Thomas Harland, Norwich with engraved compass points, ring dial calibrated 0-90 in four quadrants, half moon scale with 0-40 in two directions and two permanent sights attached to the limbs, lg. 9 3/4, ht. 5 in. Lacking compass, needle and bezel, sighting vanes soldered in place and one bent, surface corrosion and imperfections.
