Needlework Picture, America, mid to late 19th century, worked in wool threads on a linen or hemp ground, depicting a village scene with houses, windmill, school, church, children, animals, a lake, and trees and flowers, (minor stitch losses, repairs), 25 x 26 in. , in a later molded giltwood frame. Scattered stitch losses but primarily on lower edge, with areas of stitched reinforcement.
