Provenance: Christie's: Carousel Art Including an Important Herschell-Spillman Menagerie Carousel, October 18, 1990, lot 1. This carousel figure was from the Algonic Island Park carousel in Saint Clair, Michigan, later moved to Oswego Lake Park, Auburn, New York, then to the Friends for Long Island's Heritage at Old Bethpage Village which benefitted from the proceeds of the auction.
