Benjamin Champney (American, 1817-1907) View with Artists Sketching in a Forest Grove Signed and dated "... Champney '73" l.r. Oil on canvas, 28 1/2 x 24 1/2 in. (72.4 x 62.2 cm), framed. Condition: Minor surface grime. There are some small to medium sized areas of retouch (predominately in the l.r. quadrant), small inverted L-shaped tear in the u.l. quadrant approx. 1/4 x 1/4 in. with minor resulting loss, small canvas dent in the u.r. quadrant.
