Sylvester Phelps Hodgdon (American, 1830-1906) Path Along the River Signed "S. P. Hodgdon" l.r., a period label from J. Eastman Chase, Boston, affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 16 x 26 in. (40.6 x 66.0 cm), framed. Condition: Craquelure, surface grime. There are a few scattered dots and dashes of retouch. Craquelure with scattered areas of mild lifting. The work would probably benefit from a gentle cleaning.
