Henry Ward Ranger (American, 1858-1916) Landscape near Old Lyme, Connecticut , c. 1899 Artist's estate stamp l.l. Oil on academy board, 12 x 16 in. (30.5 x 40.6 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, wear to edges, surface grime. Retouch is dots, dashes and small areas, predomindately in the top half of the composition (although some small areas of lighter retouch in lower half as well). Abrasions and losses visible at the edges (beneath the frame liner). The work might possibly benefit from a gentle cleaning. Framed with a sheet of Plexiglas at a backing.
