George E. Candee (American, 1837-1867) Connecticut Homestead Signed and dated "G E Candee 64" l.l., canvas stencil on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 18 x 24 in. (45.7 x 61.0 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, mild surface grime. A few scattered dashes and small areas of retouch in addition to mild varnish inconsistencies in the lower half of the composition. The work might benefit from a gentle cleaning.
