Daniel Sherrin (British, 1868-1940) The Evening Tour Signed "D. Sherrin" l.l., a label from Findlay Galleries Inc., Chicago, affixed to the reverse, identified on a label (see below) affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 30 x 20 in. (76.2 x 50.8 cm), framed. Condition: Scattered retouch, surface grime. N.B. A label on the reverse indicates that this work was exhibited as one of a pair of paintings, the other titled A Surrey Common . There is an area of retouch in the lower left corner (this does not effect the signature), plus several other minor scattered dots and dashes. The painting might benefit from a cleaning.
