Benjamin Franklin Reinhart (American, 1829-1885) Playing Among the Daisies Signed and dated "BFReinhart. 1873." l.l., inscribed "...Reinhart, N. York, Dec. 18 1872." in the artist's hand on the reverse. Oil on canvas mounted onto panel, 15 x 12 in. (38.1 x 30.5 cm), framed. Condition: Retouch, craquelure. Surface is slightly uneven (possibly due to the uneven surface of panel), scattered craquelure, mild "shrinkles" u.r., retouch consists of many small areas and dashes to both figures and u.c., largest area of retouch is a thin vertical line approx. 2 to 3 inches running through the face of the boy.
