Miguel Covarrubias (Mexican, 1904-1957) Tropical Landscape Signed "COVARRUBIAS" l. r., a label from Forty-Seventh Street Gallery, New York, affixed to the reverse. Gouache, watercolor and ink on paper/board, 10 1/2 x 13 3/4 in. (26.7 x 34.9 cm), framed. Condition: Glued to window mat. Board size 13 x 16 in. (33.0 x 40.6 cm), trimmed down from either 22 x 30 in. or 27 x 40 in. format as materials mark on the reverse suggests. PROVENANCE: A private Massachusetts collection.
